Karate Philosophy

Dōjō 道場 means "the place of the way", the way of life, as in martial arts connects mind with body in the way of life, it used to be a hall for meditation and a special place this is the reason why shoes aren't worn during practice, in this place before and after training a ceremony takes place, this is to greet the students and the grand masters. About Shi Rei Kai

The Best Version of Yourself

At Shi Rei Kai Karate Dō, our goal is to preserve the spirit of traditional karate while helping each student grow as an individual.

The name Shi Rei Kai represents a place where the will to improve is welcomed and respected, inspired by the idea of "Kokorozashi", the warrior’s determination to keep moving forward.

Our dojo was founded with the purpose of continuing the teachings passed down, maintaining the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance while creating a friendly and supportive environment for all students.

We believe that karate is more than learning techniques.

Training is a journey that develops character, confidence, physical strength, and a strong spirit.

For this reason, every student at Shi Rei Kai is encouraged to progress at their own pace, with guidance that respects their age, experience, and personal goals.

We welcome children, teenagers, and adults, whether they are beginners or experienced martial artists.

Our classes combine traditional Shitō-Ryū karate, self-defense, weapons training, and physical conditioning, always with a focus on proper technique, safety, and personal improvement.

Competition opportunities are available for those who wish to participate, but they are never required.

Our priority is long-term development, strong fundamentals, and building a community where students support each other.

At Shi Rei Kai, we train seriously, but we train together.

Friendly atmosphere with serious training.
